Olympic Games
There are four types of Olympics: Summer Olympics, Winter Olympics, Youth Olympic Games, and Paralympic Games. The Summer Olympics are the main Olympic Games.
Summer Olympics (Main Olympic Games)
The Summer Olympics are held every 4 years. Important games in the summer Olympics are athletics, swimming, gymnastics, football, boxing, etc. It is organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Winter Olympics
The Winter Olympics are also held every 4 years (alternate 2 years from the Summer Games). It focuses on winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, figure skating, etc.
Youth Olympic Games
The Youth Olympic Games are for young athletes aged 14–18. It has both types, Summer and Winter editions. It is held every 4 years (in between the main Olympics). The first Youth Olympic Games were held in Singapore in 2010.
Paralympic Games
The Paralympic Games are for athletes with physical disabilities. It is held shortly after every Summer and Winter Olympics in the same host city. It also includes the Summer and Winter editions
